We believe in empowering our Youth and Young Adults to grow as individuals, develop a strong faith and build friendships that will last. Our goal is to create a comfortable and safe space for sharing of life’s challenges, highlights and questions.
YouthWorx
We meet twice a month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm during the school year at First Church for a time of fellowship, games, a message, and discussion. We values our Youth, and we desire for them to grow in their faith (their love and understanding of God), their love of others, their understanding of God’s Love for them, and their understanding of the Bible. Check the church calendar under the tab or our newsletters for the next date. Our Youth look forward to our annual winter weekend retreat, lock-ins, bowling nights and other special event
During the Summer, we gather more informally through events such as pool parties, annual beach trip and lock-ins.
Who can join?
Any student in grades 7-12 is welcome to join YouthWorx. They do not have to be members of our church, and they do not need to be connected to the church in any way; we truly welcome anyone to join us!
In addition, our Post High School and College aged adults (18-23) are welcome to join us as leaders in the YouthWorx program (must have valid background check and be approved by the Youth Leadership).
Post High School
Life after high school can be stressful with all of the new directions to take. Whether you are going to college, entering the military, or beginning a career, we are here for you. We are here for you to offer support, confort, assistance and to meet up whenever to talk about life’s questions.
Join us for our many activities throughout the year and get involved. We love to go for road trips for a fun day away as a group!
If you are looking for help with cover letters, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles, just ask.
College Students
While you may be physically away from your First Church Family, you are not without our support and care. We will connect with you, send you reminders that we care about you, and meet with you on your breaks if you would like to talk about anything you are going through.
If you are in a new area, we can help you try to find a church to get connected to while you are there so you don’t have to face that intimidating quest alone.
Young Adults
We gather, as schedules allow, for Sunday morning fellowship, local events and meaningful bonding. As a growing ministry, we are continually looking for ways to reach and help each other.
We aim to be “Rooted In Faith”
