We place a strong emphasis on the learning element of worship. Learning leads to salvation and growth. We strive to understand Biblical teachings and examples and to apply them to the issues we face today. Sermons are grouped into series of three to six weeks so that, although each sermon stand on its own, issues can be discussed with continuity and depth. Recent themes have been, “Applications of Jesus’ Parables,” “Women Overcoming Adversity,” and “Relationship with the Holy Spirit.” Upcoming themes include “Lessons from Jesus’ Beatitudes,” “Guidance from the Philippians,” and “Psalms for Every Occasion.”
Pastor Doug and Joyce Donigian each preach about half of the time. Pastor Don Moyer fills in during their vacation.
Recent sermons are posted here. The pastors maintain electronic versions of all sermons; these are available by request.
Most Sundays, we offer a children’s sermon. We warmly welcome you to bring your young children with you to worship. If you have very young children and feel that they are distracting you or others from connecting with God, you may take them to our well staffed nursery after the children’s sermon for fun and active play. Older children are encouraged to stay and learn to worship.
