When are your services?
Our Sunday Morning services begin at 9:15am in the Sanctuary! You are welcome to come and join us as we worship God together. We praise our God through an uplifting message, united prayers, scripture, and hymns. Following our service, we gather for First Fellowship: A time of conversation and refreshments, with Sunday School to follow.
Our Sunday Evening services begin at 5:15pm in the Chapel! You are welcome to come and join us as we worship God together in this intimate evening setting, centered around a discussion oriented message, prayer, fellowship, and song. Afterwards, students in grades 7-12 are invited to YouthWorx (Youth Group) at 6:30pm!
Where are you located?
We are located on the corner of Park Avenue and 4th Street, one block east of Quakertown Community High School, in the central part of Quakertown. There is a parking lot on 4th Street north of the church. Read more about visiting us for the first time.
How often and when do you take communion?
We celebrate communion eight times each year: Epiphany (early January), Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunday, Pentecost (late May), Mid-summer (August), World Communion Sunday (early October), First Sunday of Advent (Late November or Early December). All who believe in Jesus and wish to follow his request that we share communion in his memory are invited to partake.
What should I wear?
On Sundays Mornings, some people like to wear their “Sunday best” while others prefer casual clothes. On average, we dress a step above “jeans and t-shirt”. However, we want to worship with you however you are dressed. What’s on the inside is what God sees. On Sunday Evenings, dress tends to be more casual.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
You are welcome to bring a Bible with you, however, we provide Bibles for your use. Our worship bulletins provide everything else you would need to follow along and engage with our services.
Is your building handicap accessible?
Yes we are! Our parking lot entrance on the north side of the church (our parking lot door) has a wheelchair ramp and an automatic door opener to assist you. For those who have trouble walking distances, our sanctuary entrance (glass doors closest to Park Avenue) is also handicap accessible on Sunday Mornings.
We have a handicap accessible restroom adjacent to the sanctuary.
What childcare is offered?
Childcare is offered for preschool aged children, kindergarten and younger, who are encouraged to attend the first portion of the service. Then they have the choice of remaining in the service or leaving for an age appropriate nursery for the remainder of the Sunday Morning service.
After the service, Sunday School classes are available for all ages from infants through adults.
At this time, formal childcare is not offered during our Sunday Evening service, however, there are couches in the back of the Chapel for young families.
